Bio

Lili Un graduated Magna Cum Laude from Virginia Commonwealth University’s School of the Arts where she majored in Painting and Printmaking. She went on to receive her Master’s degree in Art Therapy from Southwestern College in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Her paintings have been internationally exhibited and her work is in the collections of Capital One, Virginia Commonwealth University, VCU Medical College, and numerous private collections. 

As the first student intern for Mathaf: Arab Museum of Modern Art in Doha, Qatar, Lili created an art zine for museum-wide distribution. Lili was the recipient of a research grant to collaborate with a colleague in Qatar culminating with an exhibition in Doha. She was selected to present her research on technology in therapeutic settings at a national art therapy conference in Miami. 

She lives and works in Dover, New Hampshire.

Artist Statement

My art is a celebration of color and simple joys.  Through lyrical abstraction and color interactions I seek to capture the things I most love about the natural world, including unpredictability.
